The Wailers – ‘Reincarnated Soul’ / ‘Concrete Jungle’ – Island 6164 (UK)
This is the original Island 45, released a couple of months before Catch A Fire in 1973. The A-side is a speeded-up version of ‘Concrete Jungle,’ unavailable, I think, elsewhere. The B-side is the interesting one, a Bunny Wailer tune that anticipates his work on the Blackheart Man album.Condition: Excellent. There are some scuffs and some tiny marks that cause a couple of very light clicks, as well as a few specks of dust, but really nothing that takes away from the listening (please check the sound clips). It’s a great-sounding record! The ‘Reincarnated Soul’ label is clean, though there is some sticker residue on the ‘Concrete Jungle’ side (please see scans). Nice solid centre copy, too!
Please note that the slight hum on some of my sound clips comes from my record player’s shaky Earth connection, it’s not inherent in the discs.
