Original UK Track label stereo 1st press LP.This is the re-issue of the second and third albums by the Who, 'A Quick One & The Who Sell Out', released by Track Records in 1974 to follow up the success the band were having following the release of 'Quadraphenia' & prior to the release of the film 'Tommy' in 1975.
This is the original issue with the 'Twosome' stickered E. J. Day Group laminated sleeve, the Track 'Two Record Set' labels text, as well as the A//1, B//1 & A//3#1, B//1 matrices only found on LP's of the very first pressings.
The E. J. Day Group front laminated gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX+ condition, with some very light corner/edge wear and a couple of small laminate creases on the outer cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain inners are intact & in EX condition. The records are in visually EX+ condition, with only one or two faint sleeve removal hairlines visible on sides 1 & 2 and a couple of faint hairlines visible on sides 3 & 4. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of only one or two faint spindle markings on each side. The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some low background noise during the run in grooves. Overall a really great, loud & clear listen. The matrix nos. are; 2409209 A//1-420-05 mother stamper 1-1-8, B//1 mother stamper 1-1-5 & 240910 A//3#1-420-05 stamper 1-1-7, B//1 stamper 1-1-6.
This is one of the very early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1971 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
