Two record set no. 2683-038
The records have the years 1966 and 1967 on them respectively  but I think this is a re-release from 1970 or 1974.
I have tried my best to identify this particular set from the Discogs website but keep going round in circles! I have given you all the details I can find on the cover and the vinyl so that you make your own minds up. I am certainly not trying to deceive anyone as I don't want to mis-sell it. It is made in Great Britain.

Thank you for looking at my records. Over the next few months I will be listing my collection of vinyl, mostly albums dating from the 70’s but also a lot of 12” singles from the 80’s and 90’s. Its quite an eclectic mix and should appeal to many tastes.

I have purchased specially made cardboard album mailers as used by the music industry so that your purchase arrives in one piece.

When I began selling records, tapes and CDs on here I religiously followed the “Record Collectors” guide for grading them. But I have noticed over the months that many sellers seem to take no notice of any sort of grading system and give a very vague or brief description of the cover and vinyl, with some using OK and Good but nothing else and no mention of scratches or marks. I wonder if some buyers take any notice of the condition too as they still seem to buy, and pay large sums for records that have been vaguely and minimally described?

I try to be as honest and as accurate as possible, and from now on have decided that rather than treading in the minefield of grading them I will just continue to describe the visual condition. I have a few thousand to list and hopefully sell so you will understand that I have not got the time to listen to them all the way through. When describing I have probably been a bit too honest and harsh on my records, but I would rather you know exactly what you are getting before you make a bid. Unless mentioned any white splodges or “marks” are caused by the flash or surrounding area and do not appear on the record or cover.

Having said all that, if you are not perfectly happy with any record I will, with no quibbles refund in full where appropriate. But please bear in mind that these records are all pre-owned and some over 40 years old or older so they may well display the inevitable small signs of use etc. As you will appreciate unless a record is Mint it is going to have small surface scratches or even manufacturing flaws. If a record is badly scratched I will describe accordingly and this will be reflected in the price. If you expect a record with no scratches then maybe you should buy from another vendor. As with books I think it is a crime to throw something away which may still appeal for its art work or certain tracks. You have probably noticed that an LP that appears to have no scratches in good daylight shows up several small scratches when viewed under bright electric light. In essence please do not expect a pristine “brand new” album, as the cover and the vinyl are pre-owned. I have tried to list all major / obvious marks etc if applicable but this is becoming very time consuming so any small blemishes or marks are covered under general wear. If you buy one of my records you will see what I am trying to say.  If I describe a record as Excellent to Near Mint you can be assured it is as near to Mint as you can get and not posing as one.

I do not own a professional record cleaner so I am unable to clean them to exacting standards. I do clean them with recommended cleaning fluids and an anti-static cloth prior to photographing and again before packing. Everybody has their own personal preferences for cleaning and some methods I believe can do more harm than good, so I am very careful not to be too enthusiastic when cleaning and avoid any of the subjective methods that abound on the internet.  

I am no expert at identifying First Pressing etc, etc as this can be a minefield! Unless I know for certain that a particular record is rare or first pressing I will give you all of the catalogue numbers, matrix numbers, label etc and let you decide if you want to bid.

As anyone who has tried to photograph vinyl records will know, it is an “art” in itself, and can be very frustrating. Flash, no flash, distortion versus clarity I have tried all angles and lighting to best capture the condition and presence of scratches or imperfections whilst attempting to display detail and / or any faults etc. I have recently noticed that these new, fangled LED bulbs show up every hairline mark and blemish making the vinyl look a lot worse than it actually is. Also whilst trying to decipher some of the marks in the runout either my eyesight is getting worse or the person who made it was having a laugh, either way I try my best to faithfully copy what is there but some are completely unreadable even with magnifying glasses and torches – life is too short to spend hours trying to decipher these so I will mention in the description where applicable. This will allow me to list more otherwise I’ll still be doing it from the grave!

I have recently had a message from someone stating in block capitals “cover is quite tatty and worn at the edges” about an LP I have for sale, and that was all it said. How they could tell this from one photograph is beyond me, my camera must be much better than I thought it was! I had described it as having bumping and wear to the edges, so I’m not sure if it was somebody trying to get the LP cheaper (as if it wasn’t cheap enough) or they were just bored and felt like causing a bit of mischief, needless to say I blocked them straight away as I would rather not sell to people like this who can make the selling experience on here a complete nightmare. I must say that everyone I have sold to so far have been genuine and honest buyers and have all been happy with their purchase.

With regards to postage and packaging I will post within the UK using the

Royal Mail’s Standard Small Parcel Second Class service for £3.70 and obtain proof of posting.

The costs cover the cost of the flat-pack record sleeves etc. I am not making any money out of the P&P whatsoever. If you buy more than one record I will combine postage and packing.

I am more than happy to combine postage and can post three single LP's in the same box for the price of one.  

If a record / records sell for more than I anticipated I will post first class signed for and pay for the additional cost.

The most economical P&P, especially if your package is up to 2 Kgs is Royal Mail 2nd Class Standard which is exactly the same price as a 1 Kg parcel and should be approximately six albums.

Sooo if you buy six albums and the weight is below 2 Kgs the cheapest postage you pay will be £3.70 for all six. If this is the case I will use two purpose made mailers taped together so that they are not all crammed into one! Don’t worry if its over 2 Kgs, I’ll work a price out that is low and fair.

If you want to delay payment and bid on another record that I am selling so that you can save on postage that’s fine just let me know or if you’ve already paid and then want another one please let me know and I can refund the postage to your PayPal account.

If you are unhappy with your purchase upon receipt, please in the first instance contact me so that we can arrange return and refund. I will accept returns for genuine reasons.

If International buyers are interested in bidding please contact me so that we can arrange a price that is fair to both of us before bidding.
