The Who - My Generation (LP 1st Press 1965 LAT 8616 Mono) Matrixes MG-10256-1B /MG-10257-1B
The Sleeve: VG+. The front is laminated and is clean with no real creasing or peeling. The spine with the artist and titles is excellent and there is no shelf wear to the edges or corners of the sleeve. There is no original inner sleeve. The iconic picture has the original red and blue large lettering over the photo of the band. The rear of the sleeve is unlaminated with some very minor fading from 1965 and only very light ring wear. Boxed Brunswick labels front and back and the 2 Brown credits in the track listings.
The Labels: Some light spindle wear as would be expected. Classic Silver on Black printing which is very clear and legible. M/T tax codes on both sides. Correct LAT 8616 on the labels and the sleeve. Correct Brown credits on A2 and B2.
The Disc - Test Playing: The disc has been tested several times before selling using high quality Naim amplifiers, Audio Concept deck and KEF Reference Foundry speakers. The disc displayed no warping, jumps, sticking or mistracking. It did have some surface noise for its age and light crackling at times which was more noticeable between the tracks. The Mono sound is punchy and clear with excellent vocals. Side 2, Tracks 4 and 5 did have some slight pops from a light scratch but nothing serious. Visually there are a few hairline marks and some marks and scratches from handling and manual cleaning over the years. For its age, I would say it is VG+ for playing purposes on most machines.
The disc will be professionally deep grooved cleaned/washed on my record vacuum cleaning machine before dipatch to the winner with a new anti-static inner, card inner, and plastic cover for the sleeve. It will be well packaged with cardboard inners and cardboard posting container by special delivery.
