Description

Up for auction is a great 2nd UK pressing of the Who - Tommy.  This 2 LP set is packed with Who classics and was one of the first rock operas following on the heals of the Small Faces - Ogden's Nut Gone Flake and Pretty Things - SF Sorrow.
The cover is a 2nd pressing UK unlaminated triple gatefold. (1st pressings had laminated covers).  The cover is in VG + /Ex- condition with some wear pictured on one of the seams of the triple gatefold. This set includes an Ex copy of the original lyric/picture book.  1st UK editions of Tommy came with a limited numbered booklet. This 2nd pressing has a numbered booklet as well with the low number 001034.
The 2 LPs themselves are in Ex condition with nice sheen and minimal surface noise. The sound quality is excellent with many of the stampers being likely the same as the first pressing.
