Wonderful copy, still in shrink!
I know it's sacrilege to many people, but my absolute favorite version of "High Flying Bird" is done by these guys. (Apologies to the Airplane, The Ill Wind, Ritchie Havens, Lovecraft, et. al, okay??)
The album jacket is in full shrink. There happens to be some kind of weird neon green discoloration on the shrink at the spine on both sides. Upon closer inspection, if you move the shrink around, the discoloration moves with it, so that it is clearly only on the shrink and not on the jacket itself. Very gratuitous. That means that whatever it is, (glo-juice?) the album cover was completely spared. The textured cover has beautiful seams and spine. There is a split in the shrinkwrap at the bottom right corner that did not spare the bottom-right seam from losing some slick, exposing the cardboard about one inch. There is some very light ringwear on both front and back covers at the bottom. But not nearly as much as you usually find on this black-predominant cover.
The labels are stunning beautiful with no wear to either of them whatsoever. No spindle marks or dirt or writing or anything. Completely clean labels.
The vinyl looks unplayed. A play-testing reveals that there is minimal surface noise from the thick vinyl, nothing that could be counted as serious. The music isn't in the least disturbed, but in between tracks, you'll hear stylus-on-thick-vinyl. This is a completely beautiful package for this fairly hard to find psych record. If you're a fan of this hard psych album and a collector, this will be a final upgrade.
