Hi all, up for grabs here is a very rare copy of the now out of print "The Meadowlands" by New Jersey's The Wrens!  This is a German made double LP set on four sides that includes bonus b-side tracks on side D and was released by BB*ISLAND and Absolutely Kosher Records in 2006.  This was The Wren's 3rd full-length album following Silver and Secaucus and it originally came out on CD in 2003.  It was awarded "Best New Music" status by Pitchfork and received a 9.5 rating and was included on many best of the decade lists.  It is, indeed, a fantastic album and one of my personal favorites but it is time to downsize my record collection so here it is!  Much like Guns & Roses "Chinese Democracy," The Wrens have been in the process of releasing an eagerly awaited new album for over a decade so who know when, or even if, this gem will ever be reissued.
This copy was opened carefully and played a handful of times.  It still retains its original shrink-wrap and the cover is in amazing shape.  It has sharp corners, and no ring wear.  Upon close inspection, I was able to find a small crease on the back top corner (documented in the last photo) that probably occurred at the factory or during shipping because I treat my records like the Dead Sea Scrolls!  That was the only defect I could find on the cover.  The vinyl records themselves have absolutely no scratches, scuffs or spindle marks on them and appear to look almost brand new.  However, after playing them through I did detect a defect on side A.  There is a slight, rhythmic static noise that must be in the mastering of this particular copy because, again, there are no noticeable wear marks.  The record starts with some of the quieter music on the album, so it's a little more noticeable at the beginning, but it does seem to get quieter as the side plays on and then eventually gets covered up by the louder music later on.  There are no further issues with sides B-D.  I use top-notch equipment and change my styluses frequently so I'm quite sure this is not damage inflicted by careless playing.  Other then that, the album sounds great!

This record will be packaged safely and securely in a sturdy mailer designed for protecting LPs with extended corners and cardboard stiffeners to insure that it arrives in your hands exactly as described above.  Please note that I do not ship internationally and, generally, I do not accept returns.  My items up for sale on Ebay are painstakingly described and documented with photos so the buyer knows exactly what they are getting.  I am a lifelong collector of books, sports & trading cards, movie posters, comic books, video games, CDs, vinyl records, VHS tapes, DVDs and Blu-Rays and (though I am no professional) I’ve developed a keen eye for judging condition and grading value.  Also, I prefer to only sell to the contiguous 48 states but will ship to the Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico as long as the standard USPS media mail shipping cost remains the same.  If it costs extra to ship to these areas or to certain parts of the West Coast (especially for larger or oversized items), then shipping charges may be at a premium because I will NOT cover the difference.  Thanks again for looking and purchase with confidence!
