Description

An original 1st USA pressing on Atlantic records from 1971. Etching AT/DK. Note how the Atlantic labels mention the '1841 Broadway' address for Atlantic - this is how it should be at 1st pressing in '71. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card gatefold that mentions 1841 Broadway... with pasted images inside [absolutely consistent with 1st issue]. Also included is the original Atlantic inner sleeve advertising releases from 1971. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) A truly beautiful slab of vinyl and has only seen the lightest use. Both sides looks like a mirror and I'm struggling to make out a single mark - very impressive. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. Intros and inbetweens are perfectly quiet and the audio comes across with amazing clarity. Tis an easy one to grade as it's nigh on perfect. The audio is to die for and you won't be finding a better copy any time soon - that's for sure. 'Yes' audio needs good dynamics and a perfectly quiet background to do it full justice. And if that's what you're after....then you've just found it. You might detect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments....but basically it plays perfect from start to finish....FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) Truly difficult to find in anything approaching this kind of condition. Extremely susceptible to surface wear - this example is in very very fine order. Nice deep blacks front and back with very little sign of surface wear at all. The interior is immaculate with no issues at all. Edge wear is very minor for this title and the spine pretty much entirely intact with very little wear at all. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity thanks to that heavy-card employed in manufacture.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. But no splits.
