Description
Rare Jamaican rocksteady reggae 45rpm 7" vinyl record. WHITE LABEL pre-release of Federal Records issue.

Matrix etchings: FED 033 6990 / FED 036 6993
Labels: White labels that appear to be reversed Atlantic Records labels. Neat!! Writing on both sides of label, as evident in the pictures.
Vinyl: As with most Jamaican records of this age, the vinyl is used. I'd estimate VG to VG-. Both sides of the vinyl definitely have needle marks and wisps. Importantly, there are no cracks or divots in the vinyl. No scratches can be felt on the 6993 side. A very small scratch can be felt on the 6990 side. From an audio perspective, the crackle and hiss of a typical Jamaican record will be heard. This is part of the charm.
Comes in a new generic white paper sleeve. Item will be shipped with a cardboard backing board and well packed to ensure safety in packaging and handling.

On Jan-13-14 at 14:56:26 PST, seller added the following information: Played the record again today on my turntable. Arm weight set to 1.5 grams. Sounds great! Killer tracks! A-side audio does 'tick' through the scratch described above, but doesn't skip at the aforementioned arm weight. B-side audio sounds great, with just some minor background crackle.
