Description
Up for bid is my original 1968 "Odessey and Oracel" by The Zombies. This item is still in the original shrink wrap, including original sticker for "Time of the Season".
This is a great copy, and one I am sad to let go. I want to make sure and list the faults, so there are no surprises whatsoever when buyer receives the item.
The shrink does have a tear on the back, as you can see in the photos, it runs about half way down the back.
It will come with a generic poly lined white sleeve. The original sleeve was lost sometime along its journey.
There is also some dirt/dust under the shrink. The label on the vinyl is in great condition, looks great. The vinyl does have a few scuffs and scratches, most on side 1. However, nothing that is deep. A couple of the photos are of dirt spots NOT deep scratches which is how they may appear. They need to be wiped/cleaned, but I only have the typical static brush and don't want to damage the copy by applying cleaning materials.
I played it on my Technics turntable and it sounds great. There is some popping and crackling but nothing overpowering (again a good cleaning may drastically reduce this). Side 2 has less crackling, but again side 1 is nothing bad.
Again, I am not trying to say this isn't a good record and overload with faults, but with it being a desirable copy, I want to make sure and list EVERY negative aspect I could so the buyer will be impressed when it arrives.
