Description
The Painted Ship, super rare psychedelic single.
Up for offers is this psych single by Painted Ship entitled Frustration, with the B, side I told those little white lies. This now exceptionally hard to find single from 1967 is on the original Mercury label, cataloge number MF 988.
A Canadian based Psych band, consisting of Bob Rowden Guitar, Barry Rowden Drums, Ken Wain keyboards, and Bill Hay vocals, cut only the one single in the UK and has now become one of the rarest psych singles to have come out of the sixties. A must have for any Painted Ship fan, or just sixties psych singles in general.
In the past 30 years of collecting records I have only ever seen one other of these come up for sale, this one has been in my collection for the last 20 years.
Condition wise, it looks and plays a good excellent with just one light surface mark ( not a scratch ) of about 1cm, and three small light spindle marks on the A side of the lable center.
Also there are four tiny nicks on the B side of the vinyl edge, these nicks do not touch the run in groove and does not effect the playing area of the record. The nicks do not come through on to the A side. Please see photos where arrows point to and for over all condition.
I try to describe my items to the best of my knowlege, however if in the event that an error should occur from my description, please do not hesitate to contact me within the next 3 working days of receipt for a full refund including postage. Thanks for looking, and good luck.
