Description

Cannot recall where or precisely when I purchased this album, best guess would be early 60s. It was produced in England by Interdisc.
The disc is in very good condition, with a few only, very faint lines on the surfaces, but it plays perfectly without jumps. The run offs are engraved RLP-12-300 A or B
The thick card outer sleeve is sound, without splits, tears or creases, but on the back, an area of the sleeve notes 7 x 11mm has been abraided resulting in loss of the printed surface. Clear tape, now removed, has resulted in staining, particularly on the back. Some finger marks on the back.
Titles: Thelonious, Friday The Thirteenth, Monk`s Mood, Little Rootie Tootie, Off Minor, Crepescule With Nellie. Personnel: Monk piano, Donald Byrd tpt., Eddie Bert tbn., Phil Woods alto,   Charlie Rouse tenor, Pepper Adams baritone, Robert Northern fr.horn, Jay  McAllister tuba, Sam Jones bass, Art Taylor drums. Recorded in concert in New York City, 28 Feb. 1959.
This album features music from the second half of the concert. The quartet played Blue Monk, Straight No Chaser, In Walked Bud, Round Midnight and Rhythm-a-ning before the interval.
