Description
This is Riverside Records RLP 12-226, Thelonious Monk Brilliant Corners, a blue label deep groove mono issue of this classic session featuring Sonny Rollins, Max Roach, Ernie Henry and Oscar Pettiford. The record is in near mint condition, showing almost no signs of wear and playing quietly throughout. The sound is bright and luminous throughout. The labels are excellent showing only light spindle marks. The cover has a small 2" split on the right top seam but is otherwise excellent and intact This is a superb collector's grade copy of this seminal piece offered without a reserve price. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be offering in the next few months.
