This is a reissue of Prestige 7027 "Thelonious Monk Trio" using the original masters made for 7027.  

 

 Thelonious Monk (p), Gary Mapp, Percy Heath (b), Art Blakey, Max Roach (d)    Recorded 1952, 1954

 

 Bergenfield label with "RVG" and "AB" in runouts both sides. In the runouts on both sides, " "PRLP-7027" is scratched out and "7159" is written beneath it.   "203 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J." address on back cover.

   Record looks and plays VG+.  Light scuffs on both sides.  There's a small light scratch across Side 2 Track 1. That causes some ticking below the level of the music.

  The cover is VG+.

  The front cover has moderate wear and hint of ring wear. The back cover has moderate wear and small writing in pencil. No split seams.  Spine is faded with some wear but readable. Spots of heavy wear and denting at the corners.

 My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
