Description
Thelonious Monk "Thelonious Alone in San Francisco" Riverside RM 12-312, Mono, This is the 1960 mono reissue of this rare Monk recording. The label shows this Riverside record to be numbered RM 12-312, although the back of the album cover shows RS 9312 and RLP 312 to be identifying numbers. According to discogs, the INC. after Bill Grauer Productions printed at the bottom of the label identifies it to be issued from 1960 to 1964. Side 1 of the record plays great with no scratches or scuffing. There is a smudge mark on Side 2 covering parts of tracks 3, 4, and 5 that I have not been able to remove. However, the mark does not affect sound quality. There are a few pops along the way (very few) that do not detract from listener enjoyment of the record. This is a strong VG+.
The outer sleeve is likewise in very good condition. No seam splits or edge wear. Minor shelf wear is evident.
The inner sleeve is white generic.
I use Premium Quality mailers to ship my records. I encase the records in clear vinyl protective outer sleeves reinforced with two cardboard inserts to protect the records in the mail. I listen to all of my records before grading. None of this grading by visual sighting only. Shipped by USPS Media Mail.
