Description

This is the original 10” deep groove “P”-pressing of Thelonious Monk “Genius of Modern Music, Volume 1” on the Lexington Ave. labels of Blue Note BLP 5002.  The playing surface appears to be in excellent condition, with a beautiful luster; however, there are tics throughout, likely from the pressing.  The coated frame cover is bright and clean throughout; 1 ¼” superficial flaking on the top seam and variously along the spine; rubbing along the bottom seam; small writing on the back slick.  Personnel include Milt Jackson, Idrees Sulieman, Gene Ramey, and Art Blakey.  $100.00
