Thelonious Monk on Blue note 1511

This is the original deep groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Thelonious Monk “Genius of Modern Music, Volume 2) on the Lexington Ave. labels of Blue Note BLP 1511.  The flat rim playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once or twice.  The coated Lexington Ave. frame cover is bright and clean throughout; ½” wear and 2 ½” split on the bottom seam, at the opening; wear streaks along the top edge of the front, at the opening.  Personnel include Kenny Dorham, Sahib Shihab, Lou Donaldson, Al McKibbon, and Art Blakey.  $250.00
