Late Thin Lizzy album , half studio half live (and if nothing else they were always great live), not an album I’d usually bother auctioning, in fact it would usually be straight down to the local market with a load of other cheap LPs to be exchanged for something more interesting. But we’ll make an exception this time because that piece for scribble in red ink on the front sleeve is an autograph by Phil Lynott himself. I’m selling this on behalf of someone who told me the siganture was obtained at Newcastle City Hall the last time Lizzy played there and I have no reason to disbelieve him. I’ve compared the signature with other Lynott signatures which a friend has and it looks like the real thing to me but obviously a full money back guarantee exists if you disagree. There is another signature on the rear sleeve in silver ink but we aren’t sure who’s it is (could be Scott Gorham but that’s a guess).
Condition of both records and the sleeve is excellent. There is the odd very small light scuff to the sleeve edges but nothing really of any consequence. Both records play fine with only occasional light crackles between tracks. There are no nasty surface marks visible but held under a harsh light there are some hairlines visible which are inaudible. I can give more details on the condition if you require them but this is one instance when the conditions aren’t really that important, it’s that signature you want isn’t it?
