Description
My sister and I each bought these records at the Third Man Records Billy Reid pop-up shop in Austin during this year's SXSW.
They are extremely cool and extremely limited, but not really up our alley, so we've decided to sell them. (So, if you see another listing with a similar description, that is why.) We payed $30 plus tax.
Records are New/Mint/Never Played.
This limited edition record is a duel of sermons between Sister Ernia Mae Cunningham and Reverend H.C. Gatewood, D.D.I.M.R.A, packaged in vintage, of-the-era card stock sleeves. It was pressed exclusively for the "Rise and Fall of Paramount Records" event at the New York Public Library where Jack White spoke about the release of the Paramount cabinet of curiosities on November 19, 2013. The record was also included in the "bundle extra" bought with early special editions of the Paramount Records Volume 1 box. However, if you weren't at the NYPL event or didn't buy the early edition of the box set, this is the only way to get this record! I think the girl at the Third Man pop-up shop told us they'd just found an extra box...
Tracklist: 1A Sister Ernia Mae Cunningham - You Better Run 1B Reverend H.C. Gatewood, D.D.I.M.R.A - The New Birth
Auction includes 2-sided Paramount Records informational flyer from the pop-up shop, as well as the Third Man Records shopping bag they gave us when we bought the records.
Happy Bidding. Hope you enjoy.
