Thumper Jones 45 Rock It/How Come It. Thumper Jones aka George Jones Rockabilly released in 1956 on Starday records. This is an original copy, not a reissue. It was purchased by my Dad in the early 60's at Melody Records in Fort Worth TX and has been in his collection since then. I am not a professional collector, and do not know exactly what to grade this at, so I will describe it the best I can. There is one fairly deep scratch that goes all the way across on the Rock It side, it does not make it skip though, but it made a little pop sound as the needle travels over it. There are a lot of light surface scratches, the record was played a lot and it shows. I haven't played it in a while as I no longer have a turntable, but when last played it played all the way through with no skips, just scratchy. The numbers etched in the margin are 45 ST-2432 #240.
