Description

Up for auction is a slightly strange private press LP from Tide. Their only LP which was released in 1970 and titled “Almost Alive”, released on Mouth Music Records 7237S. US release with with eight songs. Songs vary and are all over the musical gamut. Heavy electric blues with harmonica, jazzy selection with outstanding flute parts and country sounding Southern rock offerings. All in all, decently impressive.

Visually vinyl LP looks M- or nicer. Very close to brand new. Near perfect shine, sheen and new looking high gloss. Center label looks near new and perfect. Center hole is tight fitting and looks new. Plays loud, clear, crisp and close to new sounding clean. Looks and plays M-. A very nice copy.

Outer cover jacket has some ring wear around white colored front and back cover. Light cracking near top 2” on spine. Some shelf wear along bottom seam and top seam, slightly rounding on a few corners and slight dent near mid section of opening. Cover grades VG+. An unusual private pressing which does not become available very often.
