Description
Tillman Franks--Pacemaker 1101--1951
Original 78 rpm record by Tillman Franks and his Rainbow Boys, California Blues b/w Hayride Boogie, Pacemaker HB-1101. Released 1951. Pacemaker was located in Shreveport, Louisiana. Franks was quite active in the country music scene, not only as an artist [he played on the inaugural program of KWKH's "Louisiana Hayride" in 1948, for instance], but was also a manager for many artists, most notably Webb Pierce [the vocalist and a co-writer on "Hayride Boogie"], and Johnny Horton [Franks was injured in the car crash that killed Horton in 1960].
Record surface is bright and shiny, with only minimal background noise. Nice local Louisiana label and is in VG+ condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
