Description
Up for auction I have a rare ORIGINAL 60's electronic psych LP by Tod Dockstader's Quartermass. Organized sound by Tod Dockstader, 1966, released by Owl Records, Boulder, Colorado ORLP-8. This is a super rare LSD inspired, early electronic music recorded in New York City March 1964. Awesome Stereo Sound. Song titles include: SONG AND LAMENT(9:42)/TANGO (7:13)/PARADE (7:00)/FLIGHT (7:55)/SECOND SONG (13:35).
Regarding the sounds on the inner grooves of the Near Mint vinyl copy, to quote from the back cover liner notes,
"I don't know if you'll like this parallel, but it's similar to LSD--taking someone into a world where they don't know what's going to happen, they don't know what they're going to see, what they're going to feel--they don't know anything about it--and the whole point is to go into this world and see what it's like, and to be receptive to anything it has to offer."
I can't describe the album content or song dscriptions any better then to quote from the above excerpt. For fans of David Myers, Organized Sound, Edgar Varese, Electro-Acoustic Music, Musique Concret, Tape Music, Mister Magoo and Gerald McBoing Boing.
NEAR MINT VINYL, SHRINK WRAPPED COVER MINT MNUS (with original price tag). A small portion of the shrink wrap is missing on the front of the LP, this DOES NOT effect the cover whatsoever though. LP vinyl is play graded. Side one is Mint, side two is NEAR MINT, 3-4 light ticks at the start. Cover is MINT to NEAR MINT. There is a little smudge along the bottom back cover.
