Description

For sale is Todd Rundgren's Something/Anything?, originally released in 1972 by Bearsville Records in a deluxe gate-fold presentation. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers 1-A/1-A (Disc 1) and 1-A/1-C (Disc 2), followed by "Sterling" and "LH". This signifies that a first stamper was used for most of these first pressings and that Lee Hulko mastered this epic record at Sterling Sound, N.Y.C. Lee Hulko is considered a genius in his field and was a co-founder of state-of-the-art Sterling Sound Mastering. These are all hallmarks of the best possible engineering and sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record new the week it came out, cleaned it and immediately put it away into a protective inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the record. The insert with the lyrics is Excellent with two creased corner. The cover is graded as VG+ because of corner and edge rubs, 6" split seams on the top of the front cover and back cover and ring wear . The spine has color loss from these rubs. The vinyl is Near Mint. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This is still one of the best copies that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition with the insert still intact. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection.  I have a lot more of Todd's records as well as albums of all different genres listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look as they are almost  all Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing.    I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
