For auction is the album by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Damn the Torpedoes,  Released in 1979, this was probably the second Tom Petty album I bought it because I couldn’t figure out what the thing with Tom Petty was. I think I played it once and still couldn’t figure it out so I never played it again. I see I bought this at Strawberries for $5.49.

I’m sorry the pictures are not better than they are. I had to take them outside, underneath a bright sun which resulted in a lot of reflection of the sky with the shrink wrap still on the cover.

Record condition: I see not cuts, nor dings, nor scratches on this record. There is no warping, nor spindle wear. This record will play the way it did when I bought it. I grade the condition of this record Near Mint (NM).

Record cover condition: If I look hard enough I can find some minuscule damage on the front or back of this album. In fact, the shrink wrap covering this album is still shrunk and holding on. I’ll give this cover a Near Mint (NM).

Inner Sleeve condition: MCA Backstreet Records realized they had a winner when they released this album so they included as part of the package a strong cardboard inner sleeve with a glorious color close-up of Tom Petty on the front and somewhat less glorious b/w group shot of the Heartbreakers on the back. The condition of the inner sleeve is Near Mint (NM).
