Vinyl is visually graded as M (sealed), NM (clean), NM- (insignificant surface marks/scratches) VG++ ( light surface mark/s / scratch/s)
   - these gradings are acceptable to most customers
Vinyl is also graded as VG+ (scratches) no jumps or skips ,plays with some surface noise, VG or lower and customers should proceed with caution (ask questions)  - these vinyl are often rare / collectable items
Covers are usually graded VG+/VG++, this being the minimum "standard" acceptable by most customers
