Description
This is an original 1972 Impulse pressing with gatefold cover still in shrink wrap ( the gatefold cover has never even been opened). I don't know what looks better, the record or the picture of Tom lying in a field decked out in flower power finery. Tom Scott LP The Honeysuckle Breeze (Impulse/ABC stereo A-9163). The package & trippy design are simply too cool for words. Accompaniment by the California Dreamers. And how many other albums include covers of both the Beatles & John Coltrane? We get "She's Leaving Home Again" & Trane's "Naima", not to mention Donovan's "Mellow Yellow", the Association's "Never My Love", Ronny Shannon's "Baby I Love You" (Aretha); "North" by Joan Baez & the Jefferson Airplane's "Today".
CONDITION: Cover is in beautiful condition. Very well cared for. No marks, stains, writing, stickers, holes, creases or cut-out marks. Rich beautiful color in an amazing composition. Sharp print & no color fading. Corner banging & ring wear are virtually absent! No speckling; no wear on spine. Less than a half-inch square of sticker residue is on the wrapper. Shrink wrap is nearly all intact: just a 4 inch cut is all. Logo's Impulse label & spindle hole are in perfect condition.
DISC: Very well cared for. No scratches or skips. No sign of warping. Not even noticeable surface flecks. A small degree of needle wear has reduced the sheen. Play grading shows a very minor degree of surface noise that remains well in the background. Run-out grooves look great. (Matrix # AS 9163 A/B). I grarde the cover as E ("Excellent") & the disc as "E" ("Excellent").

N- = Record shows no scratches, scuffs, or wear. Plays like new.
E+ = Excellent +, Record shows very light wear, should play like new.
E = Excellent, Record shows light scratches/scuffs which should NOT be audible when played.
E- = Excellent -, Record shows light scratches and scuffs that MAY be audible.
V+ = Very Good +, Record shows moderate scratches and scuffs or wear that WILL be audible.
V = Very Good, Record shows moderate/heavy scratches and scuffs that WILL be audible and MAY skip.
V- =Very Good -, Record shows considerable scratches and wear. Good for a fill-in until a better copy turns up.
P = Poor, What can I say! Record is in poor condition, plays very rough. We will only offer P condition items if they are extremely rare or unusual.
