Description
You're bidding on "Strange Alliance", Tommy Keene's debut album which was self-released in 1982 on his Avenue Records label (catalog #AVE 001). Initially slated for release on Skip Groff's Limp Records, it still carries the Limp catalog number (LIMP 1010) in the run-out groove of the vinyl, as well as the word "Masterdisk". This album has never been reissued in any other format.
This copy was purchased at Yesterday & Today Records in Rockville, MD in the late 80s. It still has the $50 price tag affixed to the front cover. The sleeve has some wrinkles and shows signs of wear. The vinyl itself is in good condition. I only played this record twice - once to record it to cassette and a second time to create digital versions. So any wear resulted from the previous owner.
In an interview, Tommy Keene said that only 1,000 copies of this album were pressed. This makes it a rare, hard-to-find classic that will make a great addition to any fan's collection.
