Tool – Lateralus – U.S. Double Picture Disc Vinyl LP – CB Reissue

Offered is Tool's Lateralus on double 180-gram picture-disc vinyl, released by Volcano / Tool Dissectional Records (61422-31160-1). This U.S. reissue features four different picture-disc illustrations by Alex Grey, a distinctive gatefold sleeve, and original printed inner sleeves. The runouts feature the CB initials associated with lacquer cutting by Chris Bellman.

Purchased brand new and sealed from a retailer, this copy has been played only a few times and carefully maintained in my personal collection. Both records look very clean with no noticeable marks or scratches. However, both discs have some warping and audible crackling throughout playback. This is disclosed clearly for buyers, as picture discs can have more inherent surface noise than conventional vinyl.

Condition Details:

• Vinyl LP 1 (VG+): Visually clean with no noticeable marks or scratches. Some warping is present, along with audible crackling throughout playback.

• Vinyl LP 2 (VG+): Similarly excellent visual appearance with no noticeable marks or scratches. Some warping and audible crackling throughout playback.

• Outer Sleeve (NM-): Original illustrated gatefold sleeve in like-new condition. The artwork and overall presentation are exceptionally well preserved.

• Original Inner Sleeves (NM-): Both original printed inner sleeves included, with slight gentle handling wear.

• MoFi Protective Sleeves: Both records are stored in upgraded Mobile Fidelity protective inner sleeves, which are included with the purchase.

Collector's Notes:

This is an official double-picture-disc presentation of Tool's acclaimed Lateralus, featuring elaborate Alex Grey artwork across all four playing sides. The gatefold and original printed inner sleeves complete the distinctive visual presentation.

This copy is particularly attractive cosmetically, with clean-looking records and a beautifully preserved gatefold. It has been owned since new and played only a few times.

Please note that both records have some warping and produce audible crackling throughout playback. The vinyl has been graded VG+ to reflect its actual playback characteristics despite its excellent visual appearance. This copy is best suited to someone who appreciates the artwork and collectible presentation and understands the playback limitations.

Please review all photographs carefully, as they show the actual vinyl record and included materials being offered and form part of the condition description. Grading is subjective, and the stated grades are estimates based on visual inspection and playback testing.
