Description
NINE BEETHOVEN SYMPHONIES, NBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Arturo Toscanini. 7 mono LPs. RCA Victor LM-6900. Released in 1954.
A limited edition release (# E 430) of Toscanini's complete recordings of the nine Beethoven symphonies in an oversized, leather-bound, gold-stamped album with a 24-page booklet bound in.
The 7 vinyl LPs show no sign of wear whatsoever, the surfaces appearing as mint. I've owned this set for years, and have never played it. Whoever owned it before me took very good care of it, if they played it at all. The leather bound book is in beautiful condition, with just a touch of very light shelf wear at the spine corners. The gold stamping is bright and complete. The booklet is fine and bright, inner sleeves all present and fine. The set was issued with a bronze medallion that fit in the front cover, but the medallion is not present.
In spite of the absence of the medallion, it would be hard to imagine a finer copy of this Toscanini collectible, unless one exists still sealed.
