Description

Verve MGV-8236, drummer logo. "Live" performance at the Newport Jaz Fest. in 1957, Side 1: Toshiko Akiyoshi, piano; Gene Cherico, bass Jake Hanna, drums on 4 tracks. Side 2 Leon Sash Quartet with Sash, acordion; Lee Morgan(his wife) bass; Ted Robinson, tenor sax, clsrinet; Roger Price, drums on 4 tracks. In my opinion Sash is the finest modern jazz accordionist of all time. Cover: VG+ to Mint(-) Intact with light aging and some very small age or soil spots near the spine margin on the back cover. Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. No surface marks. Thesere is some slight crackling in Toshiko's verbal introduction but not during her playing. The is an occasional click on her side, infrequent. No surface noise on Sash's side. In general this plays like new. Audibly checked.
