This is the historic, legendary album that permanently cemented the Oakland funk masters into the musical lexicon, defining the "Bay Area Sound." It features their iconic, soulful breakthrough hit "You're Still a Young Man," alongside the heavy, deep-funk syncopated grooves of "Down to the Nightclub," "Flash in the Pan," and "What Is Funk?."
Because this copy has remained completely undisturbed in its original 1972 factory shrink wrap for over fifty years, the heavy analog vinyl inside is guaranteed to be in unplayed, immaculate Mint (M) condition. Cut from early generation master tapes and stamped with the highly coveted Artisan Sound Recorders logo in the unexposed deadwax, this vintage analog pressing promises massive dynamic range and incredibly punchy brass transients that compressed modern digital streaming simply cannot replicate.
