The Tracy Chapman self-titled album released on vinyl in 1988 by Elektra is a high-fidelity LP featuring songs performed by the artist himself. With a mix of acoustic guitar, recorder, and other instruments, the album showcases Tracy Chapman's distinctive style blending elements of folk revival, folk rock, classic R&B, pop R&B, singer-songwriter, indie folk, blues rock, folk jazz, roots rock, country rock, and folk pop.
