So if I can believe what I have read on the internet what we have here is a sought after Southern Rock rarity. From 1982 we have for a no reserve auction a completely factory sealed copy of the Travis Moon Band’s, Jammin Records release “Big Train Rollin” catalog # 5001. There are no breaks in the shrink, no ring ware and the corners are perfect. Back of jacket describes the members of Travis Moon as: Sam Beck, Andy Birdsall, Scott Hallin, Danny Moon and Ray Scaga with additional vocals by Mike Curry and Katerina Kittridge and Bonnie Nicks on flute. Interesting to note I also have with this disc a letter on Jammin stationery asking for my comments on the disc from the then sales manager. Selections: Big Train Rollin’, Louisiana Lady, Move It On, The One In The Middle, Georgia Rain, She’s Gone, Sail Away, Do What You Gotta Do, Memories and Roza Lee. If this a rare find I would think my other listing for Travis Moon may be ever, as we say in South Philly, “way more rarer.” I’ve also listed a never played, picture sleeve of their single release “Sail Away” 3:54 B/W “She’s Gone” 3:55, catalog # 1001.
