Description
A remarkable, lost performance by Carlos Puebla, Santiago Martinez and Pedro Sosa (billed here as Trio Santiago), recorded to acetate at Havana's legendary CMQ radio station in June of 1956, and featuring six recordings that do not appear on any release that I know of. Titles are as follows: "Nosotros," La Tarde" (by Sindo Garay), "La Bodeguita del Medio," "Boca Rica," "El Baiben de Mi Carreta" and "Buenas Noches." The disc is in VG+ to excellent condition with very little wear, but a hiss characteristic of most acetates that are this old. The clips below are an accurate sample of the sound quality. This may be the only existing recording of these performances.
