Description
This auction is for an absolutely beautiful copy of the Tripsichord Music Box album titled "Tripsichord" pressed in stereo and released by San Francisco Sound/Janus Records (JLS 3016) in the USA originally in 1971. This pressing features 4 extra tracks (not listed on the album cover): Times and Seasons, Sunday The Third, You're The Woman, and It's No Good. The beautiful green vinyl record is near mint, looks unplayed, with mint Janus/San Francisco Sound record labels, contained in a near mint plain white inner sleeve. The slightly glossy single sleeve record jacket is mint. The record jacket has no holes, cuts, rings, dings, bends, creases, tears, tape or tape marks, water damage of any kind, and no bar code. I purchased this album from a Washington DC record store sometime in the early 1980s (not really sure about the year) and confirmed, at the time, that this is an authentic, very limited, San Francisco Sound special pressing (much like the San Francisco Sound "It's A Beautiful Day" special pressings). Tripsichord was an authentic American rock and psychedelic group of the 1960s who's work stands among the most atmospheric and cosmic to emerge from the Bay Area. Tripsichord recorded their full lenght LP and several singles for the San Francisco label. Four of their singles are included on this San Francisco Sound pressing. The album is still considered an equal to the best and most brilliantly adept albums from the the acid rock movement. The album cover is particularly beautiful and symbolic, done in the style of 1920s illustrators envoking the surreal, magical and dreamlike atmosphere of fairy tales preparing one for the marvelous voyages of this acid/psychedelic rock. Seller goes to post office after auction is over to get actual postage amount - usps first class international airmail (amount depends on package weight and destination location) or USA priority mail (amount depends on package weight and destination location) or USA media mail (amount varies by weight but eBay has limited this amount to 4 USA dollars per auction win), and an insurance amount if requested by auction winner.
