Description

You are bidding on a out of print, US promo pressing copy of the Tripsichord - s/t LP released by Janus Records in 1971. This is JLS-3016. AKA Tripsichord Music Box, excellent San Francisco ballroom psych! Brown Janus record labels with promotion copy printed on both labels. In the dead wax, it is inscribed on side 1: JLS-3016 A-3, and on side 2: JLS-3016 B-3. This copy has a misprinted jacket! Basically the jacket has a tip-on of the back cover artwork on what should be the front side of the jacket, so both sides of the jacket have the back cover artwork only with the song titles! (see pictures). Along the spine it is printed Tripsichord Music Box and has San Francisco Sound printed below that (see pictures). The record is visually in VG- condition with some surface scuffs/light scratches in particular on side 1, but actually plays pretty well and sounds much more like a VG condition record. The record labels are in NM condition. The record jacket is in VG condition with some shelfwear, edgewear, and ringwear. Please do not ask us for a buy it now price! No reserve, so bid away!

Special shipping notice: As of July 28th, 2013, we are no longer offering shipping to Italy due to continued problems with packages getting to their proper destination in a timely basis (if at all!).  We are sorry we have to do this, but unfortunately we have seen a recent spike in the amount of packages being shipped to Italy  that have either gone missing entirely or have taken excessively long to reach their destination.

We visually grade all of our records for sale and grade both the record and the jacket. We go by general standards for grading, which are:

Mint (M) - an unplayed, new copy of a record. no visual defects!

Near Mint (NM) - a nearly perfect record that has usually only been played 1-3 times, in "like new" condition.

Very Good + (VG+) - record still in excellent condition but has minor signs of wear such as surface scuffs/light scratches that don't affect the play. jacket has minor signs of wear such as light ringwear, edgewear, shelfwear, and/or light creasing.

Very Good (VG) - record has more wear than VG+ and may have some slight surface noise, light pops, some scuffs or scratches.  generally still a great playing copy.  jacket may have more wear, writing, sticker residue, punch out/cut out holes or corners.

Very Good - (VG-) - record has noticeable groove wear, surface noise, scratches, and/or scuffs but still a decent playing copy. jacket has heavier wear and may have a small split seam.

Good + and Good (G+ and G) - record still plays without skipping but has considerable amounts of groove wear, surface noise, scuffs, and/or scratches.  jacket has alot of wear and some defects such as split seams, heavy creasing, writing, marks, sticker residue, etc...
