Description

Here's Tambouri Djemil performing "Pembe Kiz" in four parts on two sides on this vintage 10,5" Orfeon disc; from around 1915. Orfeon was the very first domestic Turkish label to make local pressings and they are highly collectible. This is a rarer title from their Tambouri Djemil series on the sub-label Orfeos! Orfeon/Orfeos pressings were not top of the state of the art but the heavy and strong shellac that they used coupled with strong pressing resulted in very durable and strong sounding discs. One side of this copy is VG and other side has a visible scratch that makes it VG- but happily scratch is not deep enough to feel by touching it with tip of the finger and it's inaudible. Audibly disc fares a nice VG+. Hear for yourself!
