Description
For sale are two 78 record sets containing a total of 8 records of Louis Armstrong (Columbia set C-28 and set C-139) with various jazz ensembles. Mostly from the 1920s. These records were a reissue made during about the 1940s and although some of the labels show that they were originally on Okeh, there are a few that indicate that they are coming out for the first time.
It is a fair statement to say the records are in pretty much average or V+ condition (using the VJM) standards. What you must understand is that the albums are not in good shape. C-139 has a loose spine which is also partly missing and C-28 seems to be starting to come loose on the inside with some tearing of the storage sleeve. If you love Armstrong's great playing and this early jazz you will not be disappointed with this purchase however.
I can give more information about the records if you want, but please ask with the idea it could take me a couple of days to get back so 2 or 3 hours prior to close may not work out.
