Description
Two virtually immaculate condition 12" vinyl compilation albums, by the American jazz singer / pianist Nina Simone and the French jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt, as follows:
Nina Simone – ‘My baby just cares for me’ issued 1982 Charly Records CR30217 – states made in EEC. 14 tracks (see listing in photos).
Django Reinhardt – ‘The Django Reinhardt collection’ issued 1987 Dejavu Records DVLP 2067 – made in Italy. 20 tracks (see listing in photos).
These two LPs have been owned by me from new (bought in the late 1980s) and played only a couple of times each. Both of the discs run completely flat on a turntable and have absolutely no marks whatsoever on their playing surfaces. Although I no longer have a working hi-fi on which to test these records, my recollection is that they have no sound defects, although due to the age of the original recordings there is inevitably some element of background noise.
The album sleeves are also in very good condition - the Nina sleeve is immaculate, while the Django sleeve is in excellent condition, but has one very minor (1cm) crease in the spine and a small circular mark on the front where a price label was removed.
The albums will be very well packed for posting but collection in person (Church Stretton, Shropshire) would also be welcome.
