Historical album release as it was the third and FINAL album to feature the duo of Bolan and Took . Considered to be the best release from Bolan as the acoustics were engineered far better than previous albums and sales were increased with the addition of a guest story reading by the famous John Peel . An absolute must have for T Rex/Bolan followers as it is an integral part of  the bands development .

 Just days prior to Unicorn release, the Regal Zonophone label changed from blue to red.  Collectors will find that most Regal Zonophone labels were printed with a red label and there are only a handful of these scarce, earlier “first issue” blue, mono labels in existence today . This particular release is found mainly printed with the later, reissue red labels, but only a very few  of the very first pressings  were printed with a blue label, hence this  very , very scarce BLUE Zonophone label format offered here .Some collectors have the view ,that there must have been a box of blue labels found in the printing warehouse and were used to save money ,so that will represent to you the awesome rarity of this particular BLUE label issue . Only a handful of very first pressings were released with the original blue label format ,so very scarce indeed and impossible to locate especially in this sensational condition!!

Tyrannosaurus Rex THE original and very first UK pressing of this historical album release !!! The rarest T Rex album release . Later pressings were on the red labels but this is the earliest mono release on the mega rare blue Zonophone label format. Virtually UNMARKED surfaces with a mirror like sheen !! Awesome visual !!! Thick cut , heavy weight pressing !!! Hardly ever seen like this and in sensational condition .

Thick , quality press with just ONE surface either side . Mirror like surfaces  display an awesome visual and is the best ever viewed from this very scarce first UK release .

Audio

Excellent with very little to fault. Each track is virtually faultless and channels are clear with tones sharp and concise .Just a couple of surface disturbances to mention. Couple of ticks at very start of intro track 1 , side 1  (hardly obtrusive) and  four hissy clicks track 2 which is strange as on examination, there appears to be no damage at all on vinyl surface. Apart from that, nothing to fault . Incredible condition! The monotone delivery from this release must be heard and is so much better than subsequent releases. There is an unbelievable depth of sound and the channels are  exceptionally clear . Sensational aural delivery !

This vinyl is in a class of its own , hence its very high value in the collectors’ world.

E J Day printed,  1st issue laminated outer faces. Light creasing only with no major damage to report . Very good condition .

The rarest blue Regal Zonophone label format! Impossible to locate . Stunning exhibit . Will prove difficult to locate, let alone find  a better example of this, very first and earliest mono release.   One of T. Rex’s best ever album presentations.
