An original 1st press of JT for the UK market in 1987. Matrix 1C-1/1C-1. "Townhouse". Very decent pressing weight - they weren't all pressed at this weight [take care!]. The vinyl comes housed in an original '87 gatefold - employing decent weight card. The rear of the gatefold mentions 9 credits. We also have the original black inner and the lyric sheet too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition having seen only light careful use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. Excellent lustre. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. This is within the best couple of copies I've ever had the pleasure of spinning. It's as clean as they come - if you want that perfect all time show stopper...this could be the one to plug for.  All I could detect were a few minor crackles [briefly] in the intro to Red Hill. Very minor and I'm only mentioning to be as critical as possible. And, remember, this record is VERY fussy with lots of very lowkey passages. Only a supremely well preserved copy is going to stand half a chance of even getting near a perfect rendition.
Cover (Ex) In lovely condition with clean, and importantly, untarnished surfaces. Don't get caught out on this title. Many decent looking copies [on the face of it] can look a bit iffy close up. The usual culprit - foxing. But this badboy is totally devoid of any hidden nasties. The interior looks superb. Hardly any edge wear and sharp firm openings. Spine 99% intact - superb and square. There's no compression - just a miniscule bump at the foot [just mentioning to be ultra-critical. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits. Pretty much perfect.
Lyric Sheet, (Ex) Pretty much as new. No complaints.
