ISLAND RECORDS OFFICIAL PROMO ONLY ITEM
This was a special packaging promo for the release of The Joshua Tree album. The special box was the size of a pizza box. Inside the box was the CD, 12" LP Vinyl, and Cassette releases of the Joshua Tree. Reportedly this was limited to 250 copies by Island Records
On some websites this is one of the Top 60 most Collectable Rarest & Most Valuable U2 items
The item is in fair condition, the box itself has creases around top and some sides, it was always criticised for being made of flimsy material for a promo item, but well known & much sought after by Collectors and would still be a proud asset to the owner
Inside the CD & Cassette are attached by a piece of card ( known as ' the tree ' ) the cd side still intact but cassette has come away, which again was common in this item.
The top of LP is slightly scored
As you can see, generally it is still a fantastic piece of memorabilia
the inside of the box and base are in very good condition
I have tried to show in my photographs the condition of this item as best I can
I was given this item by a representative of Island Records whilst working in a record store in London in 1987 at the time of its release, and have been the only owner of this set
Once in a while something special arrives on EBay and this is it, as although not in mint condition I have never ever seen this item elsewhere for sale & you probably never ever will again

ONLY THE BACK SIDE & TOP OF BOX HAS CREASES
