Description
This is the original USA 12" WHITE LABEL PROMO by U2, WITH OT WITHOUT YOU (both sides are the same), 1987, PR 1021. This and lots of others vinyl records i am lisitng are sourced from a guy that used to work for CBS, ISLAND, MAYKING and EMI from the late 1970's through into the late 1980's. This and the other vinyl were never sold in any record shop, they were given to him inhouse as a thank you, as he worked and liased with the artists and was responsible for the artwork and proof reading.
The vinyl is in MINT CONDITION!, UNPLAYED!, the vinyl appears nto at first glance black in colour, but hold the vinyl up to daylight or light and the vinyl was pressed on clear vinyl and then a little black added to give it a unusual look, called in the industry as 'smoked', RARE. Although a USA PROMO, this was NOT pressed in the USA, they only pressed on black vinyl at this time. So this was pressed at ISLAND RECORDS in the UK and then exported to the USA for promo use.
The labels are in MINT condition!, clean and fresh, its says it plays at 33 1/3 rpm, again this is unsual, most 12" played at 45rpm, both labels on each side are the same, and i assume both sides play 'WITH OR WITHOUT YOU'.
The vinyl is initially housed correctly in a plain white curved edged inner sleeve, MINT CONDIITON, and then in a custom ISLAND RECORDS CARD, which is in EX condition.
