Info: Bono and The Edge co-wrote 'North and South of the River' with Christy Moore (one of Irish music's greats, a folk legend and a hero of Bono) and sang backing vocals on this 1995 recording. U2 later recorded their own version of the song as a B-side for 'Staring at the Sun'. The song is about the north/south divide in Ireland and was written at a time when the peace process was building. It is one of the great Irish songs.
