Description
The Joshua Tree by U2, first pressing, made in Mexico, signed by Bono and Edge. I’ve been a big fan of U2 ever since I heard this album. I was too young back then but it made such an impression on me that I saved for about two months in order to buy this record, this is the first record I actually paid since the ones I had before this one were gifts from my father. The band toured Mexico when Zooropa was released but I was still too young to attend a rock concert (I had no money), then they came back to Mexico in 1997, I tried to get an autograph back then, waited for about 5 hours outside the hotel but all I got was a cold because it started to rain – I got to see the van where the band supposedly was taken to the venue for sound check-, they toured Mexico in 2006 and this time I got to see Bono and Adam but they didn’t sign a single autograph, I was actually happy just to see them, then they toured Mexico in 2011 with their awesome 360 tour, I decided I would try one last time to get an autograph, after a 3 hour wait three hotel employees came to the fans outside to announce Bono and edge would sign some autographs and to ask us to be calm, otherwise they would return to the hotel without signing, there were about 30 fans. About 15 minutes later Bono and Edge came towards us and signed pretty much everything people was putting in front of them, they were smiling and very relaxed, it was announced that they would sign the next day too and I tried to get some more ítems signed but this time it was nearly imposible to get an autograph, in spite of all the time they took to sign as much as they could there were more than 1000 fans.
This is one of my fav ítems, I’m selling it because I’m in desperate need of money –otherwise I would keep it-, the disc is in very good condition, it has some marks that doesn’t affect play, I tested it a couple of days ago, inserts and outer sleeve are in very good condition, this is the first mexican gatefold edition, which is very rare and hard to find in this condition, adding the two autographs it is a must have for any collector, I’m including detailed pictures of the record and the signatures for your consideration, starting bid is very low and I’m offering free shipping to USA and Canada, and very low shipping cost to ROW, bid with confindence, I’m an honest seller.
Please note that I’m not including a COA or LOA, there’s no point in me sending a worthless piece of paper stating that the autographs are real, should you have any doubts about the authenticity of these signatures it’s better to consult a professional, there are a couple of options that are cheap and reliable, PSA/DNA has an option where they give you their opinión about Ebay ítems and Roger Epperson has the same option, both charge less than 20 dollars which is well spent money imho, I’m also including pictures of the artists signing, please don’t hesitate to contact me in case there is any question you have regarding this ítem that is not answered here, good luck bidding!!
