Up for auction is this really interesting set of  TWO (2) Different and Separate 8-Track Cassette Tape Cartridges  U2 THE UNFORGETTABLE FIRE LP and U2 WIDE AWAKE IN AMERICA LP with original outer RCA Record Club Tape Cover Boxes (the outer cases are a marriage as per documented images)
REPORTEDLY, these were only stocked and sold through the COLUMBIA HOUSE RECORD CLUB / MAIL-ORDER CATALOG 
Overall, both 8-Track Cassette Tape Cartridges are in VERY GOOD condition. They are not brand-new or still sealed, but rather were formally purchased, used some, then placed in a storage shed for several years till I came along needing 'blank' 8-Track Cartridges to produce the legendary 'Spits 8-Track' These were a few I saved due to title, band or year issued. As most of the Spits 8-Tracks appear to be still working after being re-recorded over, I likewise believe both of these U2 8-Track Tape Cartridges are also in working order as the top tape looks clean with both felt tip rollers / liners.
BUT, I MAKE NO WARRANTY REGARDING THE WORKING OR PLAYING CONDITION (these have not been tested) I have had 'bad luck' with 8-track tapes in general, usually upon testing older 8-tracks, they are commonly know to come apart when switching tracks at the splice joint
I AM NOT PRESSING MY LUCK WITH THESE RARE U2 8-TRACKS being offered as a 'glass-case' piece only, as the sound quality is  far superior on a half-speed master vinyl record or modern CD.
Tapes themselves have some visual tape player 'in and out' slide marks on top and bottom sides, clean and bright paper labels, several small but visual side air bubbles under printed front cover labels, I believe both have the 'correct' outer box cases which state  'MFG for RCA Music Service Under License'
