Description
"Zooropa" is the eighth studio album by Irish rock band U2. Produced by Flood, Brian Eno and The Edge, it was released on July 5th, 1993 on Island Records. U2 began writing and recording for "Zooropa" in Dublin in February 1993, during a sixth month break between legs of the Zoo T.V. Tour. "Zooropa" received generally favorable reviews from critics. Despite none of its three singles, "Numb", "Lemon", and "Stay (Faraway, So Close!)"-being hits consistently across regions, the record sold well upon release and peaked at number one in multiple countries. The album's charting duration and lifetime sales of 7 million copies, however, were weaker than "Achtung Baby". In 1994, "Zooropa" won a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. This record is the Original 1993 UK Import Pressing. The catalog # on the spine is: U29 518047-1. The bar code matrix # is: 7 31451 80471 7. It comes with the Original Inserts and Lyric Sheet. On the back cover, in the lower left corner there is a small sticker that says Pressed in France / Printed in the U.K. This also indicates that this is the Original Pressing as Island Records were "rushed" to get the record out as U2 completed recording the record sooner than expected. The cover and vinyl is visually graded by Goldmine Standards as EX. I personally have never played this, as I have had this on cd. I always wanted the vinyl as a "collectable item". Record was stored in a heavy duty anvil case since 2006 and comes from a smoke/pet free home. Shipped following business day as soon as payment is received.
