Description

Hey Music Lovers,
I found a copy of the super rare local yocal ( from Reading PA ) doo wop side on Columbine called The Itchy Switch b/w No Foolin' Around by the Paramounts - a Reading PA street corner mixed band.
Val Shively figured out it was pressed by RCA back when Shorty Long - the producer of the sides, who played piano on the first few Elvis RCA releases, had worked for RCA back then. Some say it may have been recorded back in 1959 judging by the record number scratched into the run off groove.
The Itchy Switch and No Foolin' Around were written by Chico Leverett - The Solid Sender. He did one of the first Motown Records and was from Reading PA.
I sold the first copy I found back in the 90's. That one was in VG condition and went for $500.  There are only about 5 known copies around including this one.  I guess they pressed less than 500 but that's just a guess.  If that's the case that makes this pretty rare - no?
This one I found recently is in VG+++. maybe even M- ?? What a cool local yocal doo wop find!! The vinyl is shiny and the labels look clean.
