Obsession is the last album ofwhat is commonly called the Schenker years in the UFO discography. MichaelSchenker enjoyed a relatively short, but intense career forhis first stint with UFO but he really put his stamp on the band in a short time frame. He rejoined in 1993for a short time.To get the unique sound for the recording of Obsessionalbum, the producer rented a former US. Postal Service sortingfacility, building and used Record Plant Mobile recording truck. In later interviews,band members said that they wanted to replicate the band’s live sound.
